Weekly Challenge List for Emergency Prepping Supplies for Beginners

Week 1:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans Tuna OR Chicken

Long Term Storage: 20 pounds Rice and 10 gallons of Water

Non-Food Storage: 6 month supply of Dish soap

72 Hour Bag: Backpack

Week 2:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans beef stew

Long Term Storage: 8 pounds of oatmeal

Non-Food Storage: 2 flashlights with batteries (I also found these lanterns, but more expensive)

72 Hour Bag: change of clothes, including shoes into your backpack

Week 3:

Short Term Storage: 3 pounds salt and 10 pounds of sugar

Long Term Storage: 3 gallons of shelf stable milk

Water: 10 gallons drinking water (dispenser)

Non-Food Storage: 6 month supply laundry soap

72 hour Bag: blanket (preferably wool) and a sleep mat

Week 4:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans Pork-n-Beans

Long Term Storage: 10 lbs dried beans

Water: $10 to save for future purchases

Non-Food Storage: First-Aid kit for home

72 hour Bag: First Aid kit

Week 5:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans soup

Long Term Storage: 10 pounds pasta

Water: $10 to save for future water purchases

Non-Food Storage: 4 packs baby wipes

72 hour Bag: Protein bars & bottled water

Week 6:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans fruit (make sure you’ll have access to a can opener)

Long Term Storage: 10 pounds sugar

Water: $10 to save for future purchases

Non-Food Storage: 3 whistles and 12 face masks

72 hour bag: $50 in small bills

Week 7:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans vegetables (links for peas, corn, green beans, carrots, potatoes)

Long Term Storage: 5 lbs salt and 1 jar each of most used spices (My most used are: jalapeño, red chili flakes, pepper, and cinnamon, but here is a variety link).

Water: 5 gallons distilled water and 5 gallons drinking water (dispenser)

Non-Food Storage: 2 month supply toilet paper

72 hour bag: Raincoat and Hat

Week 8:

Short Term Storage: 1 each of your favorite condiments

Long Term Storage: 8 pounds oatmeal

Water: $10 save toward future purchase

72 hour bag: Flashlight with batteries or I like this Lantern

Week 9:

Short Term Storage: 12 cans beans and 5 cans stewed tomatoes

Long Term Storage: 1 gallon white vinegar and 2 boxes baking soda

Water: $10 save for future purchase and 5 gallons water

Non-Food Storage: 3 tarps & 100 yards paracord/rope

72 hour bag: water bottle w/filtration system

Week 10:

Short Term Storage: 2 boxes instant potatoes and 2 boxes instant rice

Long Term Storage: 3 gallons shelf stable milk and 2 boxes hot chocolate mix

Water: $10 to save for future purchases and 5 gallons water

Non-Food Storage: 8 lighters, 2 boxes of matches (waterproof matches), and a package of candles (another kind)

72-hour Bag: Reading Material, Notebook with pens and pencil

Week 11:

Short Term Storage: 3 jars peanut butter

Long Term Storage: 2 cans ghee and 6 boxes jello mix

Water: $20 to save for future purchase

Non-Food Storage: large box each of ziplock storage bags

72-Hour Bag: $50 in small bills in a bag
